3. SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING
3.1 Server log data
When you visit our website, your Internet browser automatically sends data to the server of this website and stores it in a log file for a limited period of time. The following data is stored until it is automatically deleted:
IP address of the visitor's terminal device,
Date and time of access by the visitor,
the website from which the visitor accessed this website, and
the browser and operating system of the visitor's device and the name of the access provider used by the visitor.
The processing of this personal data is justified in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in ensuring the security and stability of the website.
3.2 Contact form
If you use the contact form provided on the website to get in touch with us, we will process the personal data you provide us with (including your name and contact details). We only use this data for the purpose of processing the contact you have made.
The legal basis for the processing lies in Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) and lit. f) GDPR. The processing is necessary for communication with you and is in the legitimate interest of the company.
3.3 Product configurator
A product configurator is also available on the website. You can use this to configure our products and make inquiries directly to us. The personal data entered by you will be forwarded to a C + P specialist dealer for the purpose of processing product inquiries in order to establish contact and respond to the inquiry.
The legal basis for the processing is for the implementation of pre-contractual measures in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.
3.4 Data processing in the application process
If you entrust us with personal data as part of an application (e.g. name, contact details, application documents), these will only be processed for the application process. The purpose is to select applicants for an employment relationship. Your data will not be used for other processing purposes.
The legal basis is the implementation of pre-contractual measures pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 BDSG.
3.5 Google (Universal) Analytics
We use the Google Analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). This service enables us to analyze the use of our website and uses cookies for this purpose. For this purpose, the information generated by the cookie, such as your anonymized IP address, is transmitted on our behalf to a Google LLC server in the USA, where it is stored and evaluated. Google Analytics has been extended on this website by the code “gat.anonymizeIp();”. This ensures anonymized collection of IP addresses. The anonymization of your IP address is usually carried out by Google LLC within the European Union or in other contracting states of the European Economic Area (EEA) by shortening your IP address. In exceptional cases, your IP address is transmitted to a Google LLC server in the USA and only anonymized there. According to Google, your IP address transmitted in this way will not be merged with other data from Google LLC. Remarketing and reports on performance according to demographic characteristics and interests are used as part of the Google Analytics advertising function. The purpose of these procedures is to use information about user behavior to align advertising measures more closely with the interests of the respective users. As part of remarketing, personalized advertising measures can be placed on other websites based on the visitor's surfing behavior on our websites. The advertising material may contain products that the visitor has previously viewed on our websites. If you have consented to Google linking your web and app browsing history to your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize ads, Google will use this data for cross-device remarketing. The personal data is obtained through the use of cookies. The following data is collected:
- App updates
- Click path
- Date and time of the visit
- Device information downloads
- Flash version
- Location information
- IP address
- JavaScript support
- Pages visited
- Purchase activity
- Referrer URL
- Usage data
- Widget interactions
- Browser information
The legal basis for the processing of your data in this respect is also Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, i.e. the integration only takes place with your consent. You can object to the collection of your data by Google Analytics at any time via the cookie settings.
The personal data collected from you will be transmitted to servers managed by Google, most of which are located in the USA. Following the abolition of the EU-US Privacy Shield, the transfer of data to the USA can at best be based on standard contractual clauses issued by the EU Commission and other guarantees. Although the transfer of personal data is based on standard contractual clauses, this does not rule out the possibility that the US security authorities, which have extensive powers, can access your personal data at any time and without cause. This applies even if the servers are located in Europe. You have no effective legal remedies against this.
The data is stored for a maximum of two years.

Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to analyze and improve the use of our website.
Google Analytics 4 is a web analytics and tracking service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). Google Analytics 4 may use so-called “cookies” if we activate the cookie function. In addition, Google Analytics 4 uses a standard anonymized user and client ID generated by our website or app as well as Google signals to identify users.
The anonymized user ID is assigned to a registered user after the user has been uniquely identified. With the help of the user ID, users can be identified regardless of the device used. For example, if users access the website or app from both smartphones and tablets, we can use the user ID to analyze the user paths in a holistic overview of the data.
The client ID is a unique, randomly generated string that acts as a pseudo-anonymized identifier and anonymously identifies a browser instance. It is stored in the browser cookies so that subsequent visits to the same website can be assigned to the same user.
Google signals are session data from websites and apps that Google links to users who are logged into their Google account and have activated personalized advertising. By linking data with these logged-in users, cross-device reports, cross-device remarketing and the export of cross-device usage results (so-called “conversions”) to Google Ads are possible.
The data processed by Google Analytics 4 is personal data within the meaning of Art. 4 (1) GDPR. Google Analytics 4 collects personal data in the form of user characteristics and event data, among other things. The latter are automatically recorded events (user activities, number of sessions, clicks on ads, which ads are viewed, removal or deletion of login data, crashes of websites or apps, conclusion or termination of subscriptions, clicks on links, scrolling behavior, ends of videos viewed, etc.), events optimized for analysis (number of sessions, clicks on ads, which ads are viewed, removal or deletion of login data, crashes of websites or apps, conclusion or termination of subscriptions, clicks on links, scrolling behavior, ends of videos viewed, etc.). The data includes events optimized for analysis (page views, scrolls, clicking on external links, website searches, playing videos, file downloads, etc.), recommended events (purchase process on the website, travel offers, games) and user-defined events (events that are neither automatically recorded nor recommended). In addition, session data such as multiple page views, events (see above), social interactions and e-commerce transactions are also recorded.
User properties are attributes of the users who interact with your app or website. They are used to describe user segments such as language preference or geographical location. Some user properties are automatically logged in Google Analytics 4.
The information generated by the cookie, the user ID and Google signals about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity, forecasting your future web behavior and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The user ID data collected in one website or app cannot be shared or combined with data from another website or app. However, data on devices and activities from different sessions on a website or app can be merged and combined using the user ID or Google signals. Collecting and combining the data is suitable for creating user profiles about you.
The legal basis for the processing of data using Google Analytics 4 is your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
You can revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data through the use of Google Analytics 4 at any time by changing your cookie settings accordingly. You can also inform us of your revocation by post or e-mail to datenschutz@cpbau.de.
You can also prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:
tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this website:
DEACTIVATE GOOLE ANALYTICS
We use Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This shortens the IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
3.6 YouTube functions
The provider uses components (videos) of YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave, 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a company of Google Inc, Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, on this website.
In this case, the use takes place within the “-extended data protection mode-” option provided by YouTube.
When you access a page that has an embedded video, a connection to the YouTube servers is established and the content is displayed on the website by notifying your browser.
According to YouTube, only data is transmitted to the YouTube server in “extended data protection mode”, in particular which of our websites you have visited when you watch the video. If you are logged in to YouTube at the same time, this information will be assigned to your YouTube member account. You can prevent this by logging out of your member account before visiting our website.
Further information on data protection from YouTube is provided by Google under the following link: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
The use of YouTube components is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in providing users with effective information, communicating with users and presenting the company profile on the internet.
3.7 LinkedIn Insight Day
This website uses the “LinkedIn Insight Tag” conversion tool from LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland). This enables targeted advertising outside this website without identifying you as a website user. This serves to analyze and optimize our online offering, in particular retargeting, i.e. repeated advertising on other websites and assignment to target groups.
In connection with this service, we process your personal data as follows:
a) Purpose of the processing
We process your personal data in order to use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to display advertising.
b) Legal basis of the processing
The processing of your personal data for the use of the LinkedIn Insight Tag for the display of advertising is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time in the cookie settings.
c) Recipients/recipient categories of your personal data
We disclose your personal data to LinkedIn.
d) Storage duration of your personal data
We store your personal data for as long as is necessary to use the LinkedIn Insight Tag for advertising purposes
e) Third country reference of the processing of your personal data
LinkedIn processes your personal data in the USA. The USA does not offer an adequate level of data protection. However, any transfer of personal data takes place in compliance with the conditions laid down in Art. 44-50 GDPR and the other provisions of the GDPR to ensure that the level of protection for natural persons is maintained.
You can find more information on the standard contractual clauses at LinkedIn at
f) Pflicht zur Bereitstellung Ihrer personenbezogenen Daten
You are not obliged to disclose personal data. The above-mentioned tracking function using the LinkedIn Insight Tag is only possible if you have activated it.
You can find out more about the data processed through the use of LinkedIn in the entire privacy policy on
https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
3.8 Pinterest Web Analytics
We use Pinterest Web Analytics, a web analytics program, on our website. The service provider is the American company Pinterest Inc. The company also has an Irish registered office at Pinterest Europe Ltd, Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland. When you visit a page that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Pinterest servers. The plugin transmits log data to the Pinterest server in the USA. This log data may contain your IP address, the address of the websites visited that also contain Pinterest functions, the type and settings of the browser, the date and time of the request, your use of Pinterest and cookies.
The processing of your personal data by Pinterest Web Analytics is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time in the cookie settings.
Following the abolition of the EU-US Privacy Shield, data transfer to the USA can at best be based on standard contractual clauses issued by the EU Commission and further guarantees. Pinterest therefore uses standard contractual clauses (= Art. 46. para. 2 and 3 GDPR) as the basis for data processing with recipients based in third countries (outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, i.e. in particular in the USA) or data transfer there. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are templates provided by the EU Commission and are intended to ensure that your data complies with European data protection standards even if it is transferred to third countries (such as the USA) and stored there.
Through these clauses, Pinterest undertakes to comply with the European level of data protection when processing your relevant data, even if the data is stored, processed and managed in the USA.
You can find more information on the standard contractual clauses at Pinterest at https://policy.pinterest.com/de/privacy-policy#section-residents-of-the-eea.
You can find out more about the data processed through the use of Pinterest Web Analytics in the full privacy policy on https://policy.pinterest.com/de/privacy-policy.

California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, with another branch: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin, D02, Ireland). We have inserted a code on our website for this purpose. This is a JavaScript code (pixel) that enables certain functions on the site. If you have come to our website via Facebook ads, Facebook can track your usage actions via the Facebook pixel. For example, if you purchase a product on a website, the Facebook pixel is triggered and stores your actions on the website in one or more cookies. The following data is collected:
- Viewed advertisements
- Viewed content
- Device information
- Geographic location
- HTTP header Interactions with ads, services and products
- IP address
- Clicked elements
- Marketing information
- Non-confidential user-defined data
- Pages visited
- Pixel ID
- Referrer URL
- Success of marketing campaigns
- Usage data
- User behavior
- Facebook cookie information
- Facebook user ID
- Usage/click behavior
- Browser information
If you have a Facebook account, Facebook is able to match the data with your Facebook account data. This data collected via Facebook pixels is anonymous to us and can only be used by us if we wish to place advertisements. If you are logged in as a Facebook user when you visit our website, your visit to our website will be assigned to your Facebook account.
The purpose of using the Facebook pixel is to better tailor our advertising measures to your wishes and interests. This enables us to show you personalized advertising. Facebook collects your data for the purpose of data analysis and tracking as well as to implement its own advertising measures.
The legal basis is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, which you can revoke at any time in our cookie settings.
Some of the data processed via the Facebook pixel is stored on servers in the European Economic Area (“EEA”). However, the data also reaches servers managed by Meta Platforms in the United States. After the discontinuation of the EU-US Privacy Shield, data transfers to the United States must be based on standard contractual clauses and other safeguards issued by the EU Commission. Although the transfer of personal data is based on standard contractual clauses, according to which Meta Platforms is obliged to process personal data in accordance with European data protection standards. However, this does not rule out the possibility that the US security authorities, which have extensive powers, may access your personal data at any time and without cause. This applies even if the servers are located in Europe. As a US company, Meta Platforms may be obliged to transfer personal data of EU citizens located on servers in the EEA to US security authorities. There is no effective legal remedy against this.

Taboola also processes your data in the United States, among other places. We would like to point out that, according to the European Court of Justice, there is currently no adequate level of protection for data transferred to the United States. This may be associated with various risks for the legality and security of data processing.
Taboola uses so-called standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 (2) and (3) GDPR) as the basis for data processing by recipients based in third countries (outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, i.e. in particular in the USA) or for the transfer of data to such recipients. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) are templates provided by the EU Commission and are intended to ensure that your data also meets European data protection standards when it is transferred to and stored in third countries (such as the USA). These clauses oblige Taboola to comply with the European data protection level when processing your relevant data, even if the data is stored, processed and managed in the US. These clauses are based on an implementing decision of the EU Commission. You can find the decision and the corresponding standard contractual clauses here, among other places:
